Thanks for all of the kind words.  As requested I will post a few more pictures of the features.  First of all on the outside.  The grill comes with a digital controller and pellet dump.

Secondly, it has an ash drawer and a warming drawer.

It also includes a shelf with a tool holder.

Lastly it has a door for temp probes.

Internally it has a chute for the fire pot instead of a horizontal auger tube.

The firepot is only covered by a flame tamer.

The grill has 4 (5 including the warming drawer) temp zones for cooking.

The grill has an open flame in zone 1 and cast iron grates that can be used to sear a steak or other items.

And lastly, here is a pic of it coming up to temp with it smoking.

Just a quick note on the digital controller...it has adjustments that will allow one to either stay close to a set temp or allow for a wider gap between over/undershoots which will produce more smoke.

I have only cooked/burned burgers so far (dang learning curve but hey the dogs and Papa Johns are happy)

How do you like the doors? Will the ash flying around stop after you get it dirty?  I like it.  Looking forward to seeing you cook on it.

Yeah Sparky flying ash is a concern right now not seeing a bunch on food but seeing it around the grill.  Once the grill gets seasoned (aka - greasy) flying ash is supposed to be less of an issue.  I guess I will have to wait and see.

Can this run below 150?  Not just tube smoking at 70 to 90 degrees, but a consistent 130?  If so I'd leave my Traeger Texas, but I haven't seen verifible feedback on low smoke temps which I use for Salmon and beef jerky on a regular basis.  I need to understand that warming drawer better.

thanks

I am not sure on that one.  I have seen some folks do cold smoking by setting ice above the warming drawer but I have no idea how consistent the smoke temp gets in that setting and how long it stays consistent.

It is tough for a pellet grill to maintain that low of temps without flaming out. But when using a cold smoking box or cabinet like the MAK 2 Star has then you can get those lower temps.

But with the AMZNPTS around any pellet smoker can cold smoke ;)
