One of those days
« Reply #-1 on: June 18, 2013, 10:20:39 AM »
You ever had one of those days where you just new it was not a good idea to start cooking??   Well today was my day for sure.

I have been on vaccation and needing to cook,  thought I'd get up and cook a few butts for church .   Bad idea cuase here is why.

Got up with the sky looking ok but boy let me tell you how fast that can change.  I pulled 4 butts out of the fridge and made them ready to cook, fired up the trusty SRG's and just as I set the first butts in it start to spit rain but boy did that change real quick!

Well after me getting soaked and looking for away to cover the SRG's I'm now wet but happy that they are cooking and I'm dry!

Will let you know how it turns out

Don't you hate it when that happens???

Do you normally keep 2 butts in the fridge - on standby - just in case you wanna cook?  I have a few on hand, but they are in the freezer.

Thought that was normal to have a bunch of them in the fridge and freezer! Told Momma I needed 2 for a graduation party on Saturday. She said if your gonna cook 2 you might as well cook 4, I'm going to Sam's ill get a case for you. She gets home I open the 80 pound case and there is 4 double packs in there. I'm happy happy happy! I think ill keep her around she treats me right!

Tommy, what do you call the umbrella mod... and does it require special tools or traing to install?

This mod you need to copyright or get a patent.

Over 100 butts and how many mods?
God bless you,
Albert

Well the sun came out and I finished all four butts with no problem  ;).   Now I have 8 more to go and hat will make 24 for the Aug cookout at church.   I'm at 104 butts in infrared and will hit 112 by Saturday I can't wait till 200 turns up!

Sorry no pictures, I had them pulled and put in FoodSaver bags before I thought about it
