Love your avatar, Pappy; WKRP is one of my all time favorites.  I was fortunate enough to do recordings of many of the programs from broadcast, so the original music is preserved, unlike the DVDs they try to sell.

Thanks BigDon - absolutely am looking forward to posting and reading other's adventures!

I'm greatly enjoying the easy, relaxed atmosphere in these boards, which is a refreshing change from the typical forum where egos rule, and most seem to have a chip on their shoulder waiting to be knocked off by the slightest (even if inadvertent) comment.

Here's another North Carolina greeting -- Welcome!  Glad you found us.  You can share any kind of food or cooking method here without worrying about getting slammed for it.  Slammers, spammers, trolls, flamers and troublemakers hang out somewhere else.

PZ there is another aspect of this forum that makes it special. It is dedicated to cooking in general and not just one type if cooker. No matter what you cooked it on it is welcome here!

No one needs to push their agenda on which cooker is the best. No brand or rub controls this forum. The reason why Tim created this forum was to avoid that. I have many different cookers from a pellet grill to a electric smoker. And I use them all. Not having to worry about posting a cook because it was done on my electric smoker for example is what I enjoy the most about this forum.

The veteran members in this forum are all people who came here looking for a place to share their cooks that would not edit your post because you are using a certain rub or move your post to a small area of the forum because of the type of cooker your using. A strong house needs a great foundation and we certainly have that.

Good food is good food period. Cooked over charcoal, electric, gas, or pellet it does not matter here. And it brings a smile to my face seeing new members like you coming in with no ego and a lot of info to contribute ;)

I purchased a Bradley smoker a few years ago, and only recently (within the last month) took it out of the box and began using it (I'd been using a Big Chief for over a decade and it served my purposes just fine).  Because it was so new to me, I've joined a couple of forums because I'm excited to learn and share my experiences, but this forum is definitely the best I've found.  Kudos to Tim and all others who have made this a wonderful place to communicate  :)

I've many other culinary adventures I'd like to post, and one thing I'd like to say in advance is that I'm not trying to brag, I just like to share experiences because on the flip side, I really enjoy reading of the adventures of others (with pics of course  ;) )

Thanks again for the warm welcomes
