Yet another from the frozen tundara - Minnesota
« Reply #-1 on: August 18, 2013, 04:25:09 PM »
Hi All,

For the last x number of years I have been grilling away with Gas, just not enough time other than slap it on, brown it and chow it down.  A couple of years back I picked up a small Cobb grill for trips.  I took a little bit to figure out the correct ration of charcoal in that small device but got a couple of good results.  That of course lead to switching from gas to charcoal at home.  Last year picked up a Old Smokey as an interim solution, just not much a fan of Webers, until I found what a better solution.

The better solution was delivered a couple of weeks ago, which I will share with everyone as soon as I get some pictures transferred.  The biggest problem is now all my free time is spent grill :-).

Welcome from North Carolina.  Tee, I think we should just call them the "Minnesota Mafia".

Pappy,
Can you get a few of your "brothers of the tundra" together for a meet and greet while I am in Minneapolis at the end of the month?  Sure would be great to put real faces and names together.

Another warm welcome from Minnesota. I'm in Brooklyn Park. Where are you? Ya' gotta get up pretty early to beat Pappy! The wheelbarrow might be a nice touch - but I don't do lutefisk. In fact I have a coffee cup that says - "Just say no to lutefisk!" I like the MGM moniker - we might need to come up with a logo...  ;) Winter is just another season - kind of like road construction. Grilling is something we do year round - out on the deck or on the lake as we fish through a few feet of ice!

bm.brooks - I'm looking forward to your pictures and cooks!

Hey to all the folks from MN - can we get together to welcome Art and his wife? Maybe we can meet somewhere in the southern 'burbs? Or even downtown - some good eats there.

Cheers,

David
