Greetings from SoCal
« Reply #-1 on: October 01, 2013, 10:59:07 PM »
Hi all,

Maybe I should have said... "y'all"!  ;D I live in the southern California area, south Orange County. My wife and I love eating bbq and we have had grills for years. We just recently got a small pellet grill, a Traeger Junior to use when we want to smoke and we also have a Char-Broil 4 burner+side burner propane. I have been looking to get a smoker for years and got tired of using smoke boxes and Costco had this on sale, about the right size for us. So look forward to learning and participating. I like to tinker and modify, being an engineer by trade, so I can see some mods in my future......

Thanks,
Alan

Welcome Alan, from a former SoCal guy - Pacific Beach was my hangout, but also lived at various times in East San Diego, La Jolla, Poway and a couple of other places.  Miss the Borrego desert - lots of time spent out there as a kid.

Welcome from Southern California too! I am about 50 miles north of Los Angeles.

I actually started pellet grilling with a Traeger Junior. Mine was pretty heavily modified before I sold it and got my Memphis. Great little cooker!
