« Reply #-1 on: October 06, 2013, 10:19:23 AM »
We made some steak and fried Oysters for Dinner Saturday night.

Out of a Dozen So called fresh oysters only 7 were edible. Five were dead, Brown and mushy ??? Here are the edible ones...

Steaks on

And a big ole glass of milk for Sparky :)

As I was looking at the Pictures this morning I noticed what looks like a wire on the grill from the grill brush right next to the steak, need to go see if it is still there ???

Beautiful meal, Key! Too bad about the dead ones...  :'( You and sparky have converted me to milk with many of my dinners. Nice cook!

After checking out the grill I found three Bristles off a fairly new brush which is now in the garbage and I will never use brushes again. I am really worried about my wife's steak as I enlarged a picture and I really hope this is just the grain of the meat or it fell off whatever it was. Here's a article of injuries from Bristle ingestion. Oh, I like you too Sparky :) Thanks everybody for the kind words. Now I'm gonna have a Bloody Mary and watch the Seahawks.

+1 for milk.  It is the only thing I drink with a meal other than water.

I can pound a dozen raw oysters without thinking twice :P

Any details about how the oysters were cooked?

Key, What a great looking meal!  I love oysters.  Have you tried using Panko crumbs for your oyster?   Grilling oysters in the half shell on the SRG is fantastic.  Then add toppings of your choice such as white wine, melted butter, and shallots.
