Key, What a great looking meal!  I love oysters.  Have you tried using Panko crumbs for your oyster?   Grilling oysters in the half shell on the SRG is fantastic.  Then add toppings of your choice such as white wine, melted butter, and shallots.

Dee
We usually use Crushed Saltines Dee but had the bread crumbs to use up. We use Panco on shrimp a lot but never on oysters, will have to give it a try. I was thinking about using the srg for the oysters but never seen it done before. Here is a picture of Oyster on the ceramic grill with Garlic spears, I don't like garlic spears. The ones I Q'd tasted like bitter asparagus but the heads were kinda good if you like eating flowers :) .

X2 - I've never seen garlic spears (nor even heard of them) but it looks like something I'd like to try at least once

That looks great Aaron. I ditched the wire brushes too.
I bought the 3M grill cleaning pads from Lowes. They work just fine.

I am not sure if they are seasonal or not but I got them at a local produce company called Tacoma boys H & L produce.

Its kind of hard to get down in them grooves to clean on the SRG, that is why I used that dang brush, It was Dark out but no excuses as I knew better. I think we will be fine :)

Oysters look great. Our local co-op has the garlic in June   They call them scapes and they are great in stir fry.

Key, I forgot to mention that I cook the oysters IN the SRG and not  on the grill.  I put them in the basket.  Dee

Happappy, you can actually do both.  I've roasted in the shell and on the half shell and both are good.  Can't remember how long it was in the shell.  You just have to watch them pop open.  Dee
