Although I am a certified (and certifiable  ;D) member of both the Spelling and Grammar Police, I know a typo when I see one and I also keep my policing activities confined to Facebook.  Thanks for both a good post and a great sense of humor!

L.A. Thanks for posting. I have always wanted to try Mirliton (or chayote), but have never seen them around here.

It looks like it was a great meal in a great location... and now we know the secret to a great shrimp stuffing!    :D

Maybe you should rethink this retirement thing, Jaxon.  Looks like you've already got too much time on your hands.

Thanks for the great pictures.  They brought back some great memories of my visits to the french quarter.

Two "food joints" I never miss.  Yo Mama's Bar and Grill has some of the best hamburgers you'll ever eat.  Fresh ground beef, hand pattied and cooked perfectly.  Cold beer and a hot messy burger....YUM!

Coop's Place is the other one.  More of a local hangout than a white tablecloth fine dining establishment; but the food served there can compete with anyone's .  My last trip we ended up eating there three nights for dinner.

Dang...now I'm hungry.  Guess I need to figure out how to make my own Yo Mama's burger on the grill tonight!

Funny - My good friends own Johnny White's but I've never been next door to Yo Mama's.  Might have to try it next visit.  Coop's though - been there a time or three.
