Hello,
My name is James. I ran across Tim Tucker's thread on another BBQ forum site and I posted a question for him. Tim was kind enough to quickly reply to my question as well as provided additional information and advice for me to think about. Tim also mentioned LTBBQ as a great site with great people who are actually kind and nice to each other and love to BBQ. If Tim is an indication of how every one is on LTBBQ, I have no doubt that I come to the right place.
I am married and this June will be 10 years for us. I have an 8 year old daughter who studied Wushu Kung-Fu. She recently made it onto the US Wushu team and will be competing in the Pan-American Wushu competition in Costa Rica in a few months We were told that our daughter was the youngest student to ever made it onto the US team with the least number of years of training. I love to cook with a background in Italian cooking. I also cook Vietnamese food, Chinese food, and your typical western dishes as well. I love to grill and I love BBQ. I got into BBQ couple of years ago when I finally gave up on finding any really good BBQ places in the Northern VA area. I currently own a Weber gas grill for grilling and a WSM 18.5" smoker for BBQ. There is a place nearby my home called Dizzy Pig and that is where I go to buy various woods that I use for the smoke. I consider myself a novice at best when it comes to BBQing and looking forward to the advice from the seasoned backyard BBQers. Beside cooking and spending time with my family, I'm also an avid scuba diver. I tried to dive whenever I can even if it means diving at a local lake where the water is mostly cloudy and cold year round.
