It looks really good. Do you think the racoons will stay out?

I've really enjoyed following this project!

Looks great, spuds - you have accomplished a fine project that will keep you happy for years (despite the pests like the coons)

I agree with CDN, This has been a very good post to follow.  I'm really interested in the potatoes, I would not have expected them to grow in water without root rot.

I agree with CDN, This has been a very good post to follow.  I'm really interested in the potatoes, I would not have expected them to grow in water without root rot.
The plant grows a vine you send over the side and cover it with soil/mulch and the potatoes grow in there they say...

Weather finally cooperating again, has been moist or windy.

I got the space under the window filled in with scraps.Didnt have a piece big enough to fill it in,but 2 would fit.Needed a piece of 2x4,didnt have it.Took a break, came back and lo and behold, there is a piece alongside fence 5 feet long, needed 4.Yea!

Filled in next to door with cover, and got that window trimmed with redwood 1x2's.Every where you see wood thru plastic will have redwood trim over it on outside, think I need about 11 eight foot 1x4's to finish it,today its completely enclosed, major cool!

Havent lost a fish in 2 weeks,so water must be doing well.
Feel free to share my pictorials anywhere you like.Could mention from Spuds if you remember.

Door end all trimmed up.Add 160 dollars for the redwood trim.Wont be able to work on it again until next week,at that its a very busy week so hopefully will be able to.

On this end I need to find some trim exactly 2 inches wide,or figure out how to cut the ones I have to go around window.Hopefully Lowes will have it,wish I had access to a table saw.

Its done.

Back end trimmed in...

Couple inside shots...

Couple shots of the beds, have celery hearts growing, brought in the outside tomatoes.Plan on trying to clone some maters, looks like a couple might be indeterminate's and will try to overwinter them.Watercress doing well, the basil did great until the great coon caper.

The water is crystal clear. All the fish are doing great,so the bacterial conversions must be where they need to be.

Im really really really really really pleased with the air/water pump.Few moving parts, non clogging,no electric in the water or anywhere near it,and very economical way to pump water. The siphons are great, and no moving parts. Those were worth the effort getting them dialed in.

It was pretty nice being inside it as it rained, very cool.

I will cover and heat one or two beds with Christmas tree lights when freezing weather hits.

Thats it,project completed.

Very cool project to watch being completed!

Are you going to need something to keep the water warmer during the winter too or will the Christmas lights do the job?
