I ended up pulling the trigger on the RT Bullseye after reading some posts.

Very happy with it so far, for the first cook I did Rib Eyes and Asparagus. It sure does heat up quick, it was 500 after just over 15 minutes

Did 4 minutes a side and they turned out great.

HOS, have you found a grate you like?

Here are the steaks.

Great looking steak and congrats on the Bullseye! I have been using the grate that came with it when I use my grill grates. When I am not using the grill grates I have been using my Craycort grates ones from my old Weber kettle. Fits perfect! I know that there are places that make custom ones for all the Recteq's. If you use Facebook check out: Recteq Grill Owners Of America. Awesome group and no BS!

I don't think that steak cook have been more perfectly cooked.
The aspergrass looks good too.

Has anybody used these? I am told they are a perfect fit.

I've not used one.  The description says it's made of 304 SS.  That's one of the better alloys, being more highly resistant to corrosion than others.  There's a chance that it'll corrode if heated above 850°F, but I doubt that Big Poppa would continue to sell it if corrosion were a problem.  Corrosion will be more likely at 1500°F.

The price seems to be in line with others you'll find if you do an Internet search and most of those don't list the alloy, so they're likely to be made of SS that's more likely to degrade.  (I figure that the seller will tell me if it's 24-carat gold.  If they don't tell me it's 24-carat gold, I assume it's less than pure.)
