Into the barrel with Kingsford and a couple of chunks of hickory

After about 3 1/2 hrs. @ 270* they are looking good.

Oh ya. Those babies look really good. You using a ATC on you PBC?. What's on the bottom near the vent?

That is a Auber temp controller made for the Weber. I made a plate to modify the insertion of the fan in the vent hole of the barrel. I bought (model SYL 1613 ) and installed this over three years ago and it has served me well. After it stabilizes the temp in the barrel there may be a fluctuation of 5* up or down from the set temp, but really pretty good control to set it and forget it. I monitor with the Maverick remote.
