Happy Birthday Dee!!! Some of you don't know Dee, but he is one of the friendliest, well educated, and kindest gentlemen around and the organizer of our Fall Gatherings starting in 2011 in Augusta. Dee doesn't post much lately and probably won't see this because he told me he forgot his password about a couple years ago. I recommend that y'all look up some of Dee's old posts and you will get an idea of his wit and knowledge. Don't expect to see any pictures of his cooks because he is photographically challenged, but he is a great outdoor (and indoor) cooker and a great friend to all of us. Hope you have many more Happy Birthdays.

It's easy to meet him. Just come to one of our cookouts at Backyard Jacks in Byron, GA. Dee is at every one of them. You will meet a lot of the other yahoos on this site there also. You might even get to meet "The Turtle" if you're lucky.

The cookouts are amazing and Jaxon is one of the most gracious hosts I've ever known. On the other hand, meeting Dee and/or me (especially on those rare occasions when we get together and start "reminiscing*") is a pretty steep entry price. Jus' sayin'...
* For those of you who may not know, "reminiscing" is another term for "lying about one's past to impress an unwary listener." Associated terms include "war story," and "MSU," as well as the better-known "BS."
