Thank you for the good wishes.
Temps dropped to 16* this morning...the high went to 38 with a light breeze all day. That's cold for us.
I know it's hard to believe, but it was too cold for me to get excited about cooking out there.  Especially after watching Alabama and Clemson till way past my bedtime. Besides, Deb wanted to take me to lunch at Fish Bone.

Now that  I've reached 70, I don't know why I dreaded it. I woke up this morning realizing that I feel more like I do now than I did 5 years ago.

The Doxology came to mind.  It begins:  "Praise God from whom all blessings flow..." 
That's been my attitude today and I hope my mind stays sharp enough that I can never forget it.

You folks are a big part of the blessing.

Jack I hope you have had a great birthday. Hopefully Dab fed you full of biscuits and gravy for breakfast to get you warmed up.

And the rest of the week will be cold ...so wear gloves, and don't test how cold your pits are by putting your tongue on them..
