True Story, I am just very excited. 3-4 week lead time can't come soon enough! Just wanted to cook more traditionally for more people. Love my Pit Barrel Cooker, but sometimes you just have to go full on smoke!
Can't wait!

Interesting. Can't wait to see pics of yours being used!

Congrats! Humphreys are top notch! :)

X2 Pappy but I am afraid it is big $$$$ afraid to look lol

They are well made box style charcoal/lump burners that you add wood chunks too.
Flavor profile should be similar to a WSM. Probably smokier. Humphreys are insulated and burn minion method just like most vertical smokers.
Looking forward to seeing it in action. :)

You gonna cook for the whole neighborhood, it's big enough. Congrats excellent cooker.

ha ha ha... I saved up a bunch of $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ by no means am I rich.
I was thinking of getting a very nice offset that will last a lifetime for a couple of years now, but to me the Offsets just use a lot of fuel and you do get quite a bit of wasted heat (I owned a COS). That's why I went vertical. After mulling around a Backwoods G2 Chubby $1400.00 roughly, I thought the cooking chamber may not be big enough for those cooks where I may be feeding the neighborhood. So I ran into the Humprey's line of vertical smokers and I get a lot more room for roughly the same price.
I also like the fact that it is insulated versus a Weber Smokey Mountain. Which in itself is a GREAT vertical smoker, but I had the money so I pulled the trigger. The customer service I have received so far is comparable to the amazing customer service of Pit Barrel. So I feel damn good supporting a small company.
Hey who knows, I may want to cook competitively some day. It would be fun to look into it.

x2. Now let's get that thing dirty. :)

I think you should swing over to the product review section and do a full review on this sweet looking Box.
You might be the first one round here to have one.
I for one, am curious about it.

Oh I will.... I am cooking for about 40-50 people on July 4th. This thing is going to get real dirty... But once I get this thing seasoned I will be posting all sorts of pictures and a nice little review to boot.
