Oh Boy I bought a cooker on an impulse buy ???
At Academy sports looking at a small aluminum Jon boat & went to the grill area.
Found a display model Cajun Injector chicken cooker ( charcoal ) for $69.
I'm going to make a charcoal ring & probably have to fabricate hooks ( only thing missing).
Not the best build but it'll do for hunt camp!

Killer price and good grill!

Shame it was missing the hooks, we still have 3 or 4 new in the box at that price. It is kind of a low tech, poor man's PBC. Since the 30 gal barrel is in 3 pieces I hear it has some issues with smoke leaking out around the sections, but also hear it is an awesome chicken cooker.

I had thoughts about making a homemade pit barrel cooker , but I couldn't buy the parts for what this cost!

Great buy!! Now, get cooking and posting!!!!

Mine leaks in one section so I rolled up some HD foil and wedged it in the section that leaks. It has burned my chicken everytime, but it actually is a pretty nice vertical smoker. If you grill in the bottom section, it cooks like a Old Smokey because of the clearance between the cooking grate and the charcoal ;)

great find. Keep us posted on it

Dang, L A, I bought one of those last year and it is truly the best chicken cooker - as advertised. It is a great smoker and with your expertise with a fuse burn...there is no tellin' what you'll be able to cook therein. The dampers are good, though it is not air tight by design.
Did you see the video? http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JNHqqjO8G50
I would have ENJOYED makin' this video, but somebody beat me to it.
And for $69, you got a great cooker at a great price.
