I used an Ethiopian seasoning called Berbere. Rubbed the ribs with mayo before applying the rub.

You used mayo instead of French's?. Never thought of that.  What rub gave you that color partner?

Yep mayo. That color must have come about from orange wood. It was my first time using it, with my usual rib rub. The only change was the wood.
