I thought I would post some pictures of the older Hasty Bake I picked up last October off of facebook market place for $20.  Here are some before and after pictures.  The grill was in very good shape overall with no rust through anywhere.  The lift even still works.

Here is a couple of more pictures.  The tag was painted over when I first got it so even though I was pretty sure it was a Hasty Bake, I removed the paint to make sure and see what model it was.  I've been told it's a 60's model Boomer.  The temp gauge still works.

Thank you.  I had never cooked on one before I got this one.  I have only done simple stuff on it so far but would like trying to smoke on it.

I’ll be curious to hear about your experience with smoking. I used to have a HB Gourmet.  Low n slow smoking was a challenge for me.  I’ll admit, I wasn’t very patient though.

Gonna restore a first gen. MAK 2 Star - and bring it up current featured as possible. This one is a dirty pig of a grill......Will test my metal....

Thank you.  I have a lot of hours in stripping the lid since it had three different coats of paint on it and it looked like that when it had the original paint on it, it had some kind of fire that burned the paint off.

Thanks.  I thought it was a great price and the repaint turned out pretty good.  I do have all new internals to install at some point but the original stuff still works so I will still use it for now.

Thank you.  I like restoring grills too.  About nine years ago I restored a Red 1995 Weber Performer with the stainless steel table.  I don't really use it anymore but I hate to get rid of it.
