Super Pig Cashews
« Reply #-1 on: May 01, 2013, 10:53:55 PM »
So the wife made some bacon and I am looking at this pan of awesome bacon grease and the wheels started turning :)

I remembered the can of salt free cashews she purchased that had absolutely no flavor. Into the greeze they went ;)

I gave them a good dose of super pig while browning and then another good shake after the cook.

A good dash of salt and they were delicious :)

Great job "recycling" the bacon grease.  Adding SP is the icing on the "cashew".

Thanks guys!! If you try this I cooked them on the stove two notches past medium. While stirring them they started to foam in the bacon grease and that's when I killed the heat. The super pig made a awesome glaze for the nuts in the fry pan and then a second sprinkling out of the pan was the ticket. A little salt sent it over the edge for a sweet and salty snack nut with a hint of bacon. I cant stop eating them :)
