RV trips in the west - Idaho ghost town
« Reply #-1 on: September 17, 2013, 02:26:12 AM »
I love visiting ghost towns, and other relics of the gold mining era.  Here we visited an old mining town near the contemporary town of McCall

Here's my sweetheart enjoying the afternoon

Our usual traveling friends were cooking dinner

The next morning it's hash browns and eggs

After a day in McCall, refreshments

Time for dinner!

Old metal

A developed hot pool using the water from a natural hot spring

More old metal and old buildings - interestingly, you can rent the dilapidated buildings to spend the night.  They are surprisingly clean inside

The view of the hot pool

An example of how the inside of the cabins looked

It was a great day - very relaxing out in the middle of the wilderness, visiting that old town.
