best xmas ever
« Reply #-1 on: December 26, 2013, 11:36:22 PM »
it was our 1st xmas at the cabin.  the mrs and I got here on Monday afternoon w/ the dogs.

Sophia

and marley.

simple and good dinner that night.

the next day I went and got a tree.  a nice 8' noble that I went to the tree farm right down the street from us and cut down.

told my wife I was done w/ the decorations.

she laughed and said I had to put more on the tree.  fine...... :(

it looks good now.

kids came up that xmas eve night.  we cooked up some ham and eggs at 11 pm.  no pics because heavy drinking was involved.  my son gave me a bottle of crown royal black.   :P

merry xmas!  ya, presents.....  I love presents.  I scored big time.  look at what I got.

pitmaster iq 120

giants tickets.

new garmin.

a 49er spatula, weber pizza stone & $40 for sausage casings.

big smile.   :D

.

oh, I also have a lem 5 lb stuffer w/ stainless tubes being delivered at the end of the month and on sunday my wife and I are driving 2 1/2 hours to go to a Cabelas.  never been to one.  I'm getting a Cabela 1/2 hp grinder

I must have been a good boy this year.    ;)

xmas afternoon it was rib time.  and not your ordinary ribs.  Big Boy Ribs!  no foil.

da players.

my new secret rib whisper.   :-X  bbq savor on 1st for 1/2 hour before you put your rib rub on you use.  you will thank me.  put it on lightly.  then whatever rub you want.  perfect all time.

everyone in the pool!

picture perfect.

were done.

love oh ribs.

he he.  1st ribs is mine before I take them in the house.

they gone.

so me and my son went fishing it was cold but just fantastic out.

it's pretty out.

and the best part.  there was a man and his dog playing some great guitar on the other side of the lake from us.

went back to the cabin and had smoked prime rib on the WSM, Yorkshire puddings, green beans, roasted red potatoes on the green ghost and home made peppermint ice cream on the old hand crank ice cream maker.  it was a feast.  sorry no pics for dinner.  it was all about family, laughing, food and drink.

one of the best xmas' ever.   8)

Great score, Sparky!!  You were definitely on the "NICE LIST" this year.  You will love Cabela's.  I have visited about 6 of them now.  Love to look at all the animal mounts.  And you feel almost obligated to spend money.  So many things to choose from.
