Title: Cleanup time, Full Drip Pan......What do YOU do?????
Post by: bamabob on July 21, 2018, 06:30:49 PM
So you finished up a butt or brisket and have a drip pan full of liquid.  What do you do with it?
I did a couple of butts last night, had a drip pan to dispose of.  Fortunately we had a big coffee can, I shaped the foil into a funnel and poured it into the can.   No drips, no mess, but if I didn't have the can I've sometimes tried to fold up the foil and put it into a triple bagged Walmart plastic bag container.  Sometimes works, sometimes a little mess.

I usually separate the fat for disposal and save the drippings for other uses. Freezing (in the pan or poured into a bowl) makes it easy to separate and dispose of the fat.
