Title: ASMOKE- portable pellet grill
Post by: Michigan0626 on June 28, 2020, 09:26:07 PM

New indigogo product. ASMOKE pellet grill. Only $150, 42 lbs. Looks to be around the same size as a Traeger Ranger, which is $400.

Need a new grill/smoker for the camper. Hoping the MAK Mini would have been out by now.

I had that in my cart for 2 days and backed out. I think it would be great for the camper but was afraid of it not being delivered. They make it abundantly clear that you're not promised the item, that you're simply funding the project.

From their site :

Crowdfunding is not shopping. Your donation is a way to support a project but does not guarantee that you will receive a perk. You may request a full refund from Indiegogo until the campaign ends on July 4, 2020. Any refunds after this date are the responsibility of the campaign owner, Asmoke Grill, at their discretion.

It's a good price, I am not sure about the quality of it though. I am on the fence still about "backing" it.

Cool little pellet cooker!
I just don't have a use for one myself.
If anyone were to get one and use it for camping or travel cooking I'd suggest getting some of those little disposable aluminum drip cups made by Blackstone, Blue Flame and even Walmart's Mainstays brand. They usually come 5 or 6 to a pack for under 5 bucks. Be sure to get the right size for the drip cup holder.

Its a gamble then.  I backed the Coolest Cooler. Think I dropped $350. Took 5 or 6 years before I was told the best I can get is a $50 refund after all of that time. I didn't even bother.

$150 is about the limit I would risk to be let down. I've done several crowd fund campaigns and have been satisfied.

I just did one from Indiegogo The hotwave. It came on time but it was backed by RheemLabs so i knew it was 95% safe.

What is the Hotwave well it is a tankless water hose.  I plan to use it for a boat shower, Grill cleaner, Patio cleaner, car/boat washer. etc etc etc.I will let you all know as soon as I use it. The weather is not making it easy now. This looks good but I got enough cookers now.  LOL

I have seen that pop up in my feeds for the last 6 weeks.  Have considered  quite a few times as I want something to bring when camping/traveling in my van.
Also saw a small Traeger at Costco for $299  i think.
I have  bought at least 4 or 5 items via crowdfunding and have yet to been burned,  but theres always the 1st time!
