New from MI
« Reply #-1 on: June 27, 2015, 08:40:43 PM »
Hello,

I just joined the forum from an invitation from old sarge.  I am from Michigan and have two Cookshack units.  I have been using a Cookshack 025 electric smoker for about a year and just recently purchased a Cookshack PG500 pellet grill to replace my still working 10 year old Weber gas grill.

I have been smoking on an electric Brinkmann for a few years prior to getting the 025 and with wood chips on my gas grill prior to that.  I can make solid ribs and pulled pork.  I am still learning how to make good chicken and I want to try a beef brisket soon.

I hope to learn more from the forum and be able to share my experiences.

Thanks for the great intro Chris!

We are all here for a few reasons.

1. To share tips, ideas, successes and failures in order to help one another improve our skills . We do so respectfully - and will never talk down to one another - or make anyone feel like they are being made fun of. We do NOT have flame wars. Treat everyone friendly here - because that is how you are going to be treated. Like a bunch of folks n the neighborhood hang a cookout, and all are friends.

2. To have fun. Yep....that is a rule ;D

Welcome - and feel free to jump in and join the discussion - or post questions.

Sparky, I really like my Cookshack smoker.  The build quality on them is excellent and they hold steady temp very well even in the Michigan winters.  $200 is cheap if it is in good shape.
