Way out west Rub/Marinade
« Reply #-1 on: November 18, 2012, 06:07:02 PM »
Has anyone used Way out West Rub on Salmon? I think it would be good but would like a few others to comment before I put it on the wifes Salmon. I get the steak and she gets the Salmon or we might share ;)

I have the steak marinating in W.O.W  right now :)

Not my normal marinating container but these wash up a lot easier ;)

EDIT:
Didn't get a response in time, my fault did not ask early enough but the Wife decided to try a little bit, if it was my decision it would be smothered like that steak ;)

She'll be bakin that salmon in the house oven and I'm going to fire up the SRG for the steak cause i never did feash on the SRG and thats special Copper river salmon.

It is good on salmon - best used as a rub. Oil the fish lightly, and dust on some WOW. It is not as potent that way. Hase some great flavors for fish when used as a rub!

It has dill, garlic, chives, etc......also GREAT dusted into a baked potato or on top of most veggies! Has almost NO salt....

Yep, pictures to follow but a bottle with "Copper river Salmon Rub" will sell with every Salmon Tim.

As Promised... The steak with Wow was awesome, I like it a lot and would recomend it to family. I will do steak bites on thanksgiving using this Rub. I used the smoker box on the SRG for the first time and loaded it with Hickory chips.

For those people that wrote crappy reveiws saying this thing barely smokes, your bloody nuts :) The steak and the smoke...

The steak...

Dinner time.. That W.O.W. is killer on Salmon , Taste buds may be different in the Northwest but I likes it a lot and I usually only eat smoked dried Salmon !!!!

Whew! That steak and salmon both sure look pretty!

I think I'm going to have to get me some of that W.O.W. Trail Dust to try.

Social, you need to quit monkeying around and become a pellet pooper! GMG's got a $119 kick back on a DB(Daniel Boone) for Christmas, and even more on the JB(Jim Bowie). Go google up a dealer and get on the P train! ;)

Post Script: Love my Pit Barrel! Owe you some grits.
