Chimayo Red Chile Ranchero Turkey Burgers
« Reply #-1 on: April 28, 2019, 04:38:52 PM »
Trying to eat a little healthier, cooking with 99% fat-free ground turkey today. Made some patties mixed with chopped onion, Cattleman's Grill Ranchero rub and their Steak Rub, on to the Memphis (with Grillgrates). My wife made some red chile (a staple here in New Mexico). This is a harder-to-find heritage red chile from a community up north near Santa Fe called Chimayo. It has a unique bright fruity flavor compared to the more readily available Hatch red chile (Hatch is in Southern NM). Served on a corn tortilla with a side of pinto beans and garnish.

rm451, the patties look good, even though they are turkey. Tell us more about the red chili your wife made. Now that sounds interesting.
