Well, I Did It
« Reply #-1 on: November 14, 2020, 01:55:47 PM »
When the things first came out the first of the year, I almost bought one, but after reading post after post about the problems it had, I passed on the new Weber Smokefire and eventually got the Masterbuilt 560 then later the 1050 grills.
The past week I started reading everything current about the Smokefire, and it seems after so many months people started getting those problems ironed out after Weber came out with several upgrades to the auger system, pellet feed system and the upgrades to firmware and software.

Long story short. My EX6 Smokefire will be here next week.

Masterbuilt 560 Gravity Feed
7 Foot X 20" Pipe BBQ pit with offset firebox
KitchenAid 720-0856V 8 burner 88,000btu gasser
Masterbuilt 40" Sportsman Elite gasser
2 MES 40" smokers
Vacmaster 320 Vacuum Cham

Good for you!  What will your primary use be?  Grilling?  Smoking?

Please give us a follow-up report after a handful of cooks.

Nice! Safe to assume you will be keeping the MB cookers? Curious as to how you’ll like pellets vs charcoal.

Way to go

It was only a matter of time for Weber to right the ship

I will probably grab one next year

Keeping for now. I'll do a taste test when the Weber gets properly seasoned
