I am getting better with my Uuni
« Reply #-1 on: April 27, 2014, 09:22:12 AM »
Made a couple more pizzas in the Uuni using frozen homemade dough with around a 4 minute cooking time.

First one was with chopped rotisserie chicken, Super Pig candied bacon pieces, smoked crumbled blue cheese, and SBR BBQ Sauce...

The second one was with Artichoke Hearts, mushrooms, cheese, and red sauce...

The second one cooked hotter because some of the bacon pieces came loose from the first pizza and added some more fire to the chamber :o

Plated with some salad...

Pizza was really good! Love this pizza oven so quick and easy. The frozen dough was a couple months old but still tasted great. Even got a little rise out of it after it came up to room temp ;)

I am starting off the Uuni with less pellets and getting better results. Also the fan speed controller mod I did is working great. I reduced the fan speed down to a speed that I like and left it there. I used 1lb of pellets from start to finish. Could have done 3 to 4 prepped pizzas if I needed to. Not bad at all considering that was about 30 minutes of total time.

Also I am finding that 1/4 rotations every minute for four minutes works great! Nice even cooking and great crust.

Each time I cook with this little oven I feel like I am making progress on getting better.

Nice looking pizzas, muebe! I am enjoying watching you mess around with this. Once you get it all figured out, you can write a manual for the Uuni and I will buy one.

Good looking pizzas Mike. I agree the more you use the Uuni the better the cooks turn out. I enjoy cooking with mine when its above zero temps instead of the 40 below cooks I had with it this winter  ;D

Might go for one myself, would need instructions on how to modify the controller ;D

Thinking about that one also, what about having one of your insulators from work have a look at it? I'm thinking about the soft type they put on turbines.
