Title: Don't Get Old!!!

Well, I am making great progress since the tendon repair on my left ankle.  My doctor and local "physical terrorist" declared me fit to travel.  My wife and I took our son, his wife and our grandson to Ireland for nine days to celebrate our 50th Anniversary.  We had a wonderful trip.  I was not able to keep up on all the walking tours, so I just kept up the pace I could handle.  There were only two tours that I could not do.  One was a hike up a rough trail and the other was at Galway Bay at the end of the day.  I was too tired to do that one.

I have been experiencing some pain in my hips and right knee.  The hips may be from bursitis and can be taken care of with some shots to calm them down.  The knee is another story.  I am bone-on-bone and will require a replacement at some future date.  I need to get back to my ankle surgeon and see when he thinks I could handle knee surgery to the my right knee after having my left ankle worked on.

This getting old is no fun!!

Yep Art, you ain't kidding.  You will get better just takes time trust me 20 surgeries in 18 years for me

Yep, I've got more doctors on speed dial than relatives....   And so so many pills to take

Galway is/was one of my favorite parts. Was there about 25 years ago. Like everything I suppose it has changed. Took a ferry to the Aran islands from Galway. Think that may have been my favorite part.

I have too many doctors and too many pills.  You know you're an old fart when you wake up in the morning and you don't call the day by what the calendar says, but by which doctor you're going to "visit".   ;D

Hi Art & wife, Happy 50th and nice you got to go to Ireland!! Haven't been in here much, now I have Macular Degen. in my right eye but it is wet and treatable. Have had two shots in my eyeball and dus for ay least two more. It is getting better. Before the shots could nat have written this. Good luck to growing old!!! :) Don & Nancy

Glad to hear you are on the mend.  One of these days we will have to get together again.  I took some of that terrific bologna you got me to my BIL in Colorado.  He talks about it every time we get together.
