I use hickory wood chunks from Lowe's(Cowboy) at $10 a bag.

And I have been using Rutland Safe Lite Fire Starter Squares. They work great. Got them from Amazon.

How long per side please?

Art I usually go 2 1/2 to 3 minutes per side for a steak like that
I am doing steaks Friday night and want to get close coming out of the gate.
Steak will be about one pound so what do you think per side?

It has to do with more thickness than weight. You can spot check as you cook with an instant read like a thermapen.

I usually just go by the look and feel of the steak. When the fat just starts separating and rendering.
