Ordered mine tonight. Wondering the best way to start a chunk of peach. Looks like they fold up a piece of regular printer paper. Please help with starting procedures...

I found them at Home Depot in Sioux Falls for 4.95/144 count box. Their on-line inventory said they had 8 boxes and I went there fixing to buy 2 or 3 boxes. Even had the aisle and bay number. Got there said "where do I find aisle E6 bay 5? The guy showed me and they had one lonely box on hand. Bought it and came back home, rechecked online and now the inventory showed 7? The guy that helped was very accomodating, we had looked high and low for more but there were none to be found. Anyway I only use about 1/3 of a square to get my chunk wood started so 144 should last a while.

You could use the paper if you want. I think their starters are a vegetable oil based paper. I also use 1/2 of a Rutland but I also bought about 20 bags of cherry chips for a buck a bag on clearance. I throw a small handful in at the beginning with my chunks just because I have so much.

I was using a small amount of lighter fluid on a few small pieces of wood to get it going. It worked well.

Now I use the Rutland starters and have not looked back. I use the Rutland starters in my Uuni also

Only takes half a square of the Rutland starter to get the cook-air going.
