Mo'Rockin'Chicken Thighs
« Reply #-1 on: May 04, 2013, 10:11:23 PM »
I put the thighs in a plastic bag an gave them a big dose of Mo'Rockin'Chicken Rub then put them on the grill.

About 45 minutes at 325° F  indirect and they were ready for some direct heat.

Cooked to 165° F and turned out sweet!!

Here's a picture that the flash went off on, big color change :)

The Mo rocking chicken rub  really does rock, I sliced up samples for my neighbor Lady and my wife both loved the chicken and flavor.

Primo looking chicken :)
I remember in the 70's that was the phrase to use. My two older brothers called everything "primo" :)

Great lookin' thighs - my favorite cut.  I like your method, too...starting indirect and then going direct for crispy, skin with a good sear.

We've been usin' Mo' Rockin" rub for a year and a half and love what it does for chicken.

Tim gave me a small container at the first Gathering in Augusta.  I liked it so much, I BOUGHT a large bottle of it.  That recently ran low, so I PAID for another large bottle last month.

Kinda like, "the first hit's on me..." - now, I gotcha hooked.

We also purchased the F S A B rub along with the steak savor and the bbq savor.  Good flavored rubs all the way around.

Aaron, those look great.

Now next time you do these let the chicken rest in the fridge for a day or two with Mo' Rockin' rub on it.  This will give the rub time to get deep in the meat and this really kicks the flavor up a lot.

Tim has given me several free hits and I think I'm hooked on his rubs ;D the wife is actually pulling his rubs out of the cupboard asking me if I think it would be good with things.
