I went and did the final inspection of the fabrication yesterday.  This will be the last I see of it before delivery, so unless he sends any more pics the last pics I will upload as well.  Burn in will happen today and then if that goes OK painting tomorrow.  I will get it next Friday if all goes according to plan.  The welds still need cleaned up (along with some other detail work like insulation molding), and there are some things not in the pics (grates, firebox lid, etc).

The guy who did the fabrication dubbed it the USS Christopher.  I think that nickname might have to stick.

That works too Tee.  How about I just put a pic on the front of the vertical box showing a plate of burnt ends with a line through it and one on the back with a bottle of "BBQ" sauce and a line through it?

I'd put a pic of pees with a line through them, but I like pees.  ;D

Approximately 1300 lbs (maybe a little more) with all the grates and stuff loaded.  Pushing it on concrete isn't too bad.  We will see how much fun it is to move through grass next week.  I was able to lift it about 1/2" off the ground with the lift bar.  Two of us were able to lift it OK, but it still felt like squatting.  We will likely use a dolly of some sort to move it next week.  I am thinking about welding a receiver to it so that I could use a trailer dolly with it.

The better plan is to never have to move it.  ;D

WOW! That's a whole lotta steel. I'd find a nice spot and plan to leave it there. This is some awesome cooker!
