Breakfast pizza
« Reply #-1 on: January 26, 2014, 12:04:59 AM »
Because it is Saturday, it was time for a little rest and relaxation.  Yesterday we baked Reuben pizzas for dinner, but baked another intended for breakfast today - simple one - mozzarella, provolone, cheddar, fresh tomato, fresh basil, red pepper flakes.  Topped with a runny yolk egg, of course.  Out to the hot tub we went, with our pizza slices and a sparkling wine concoction with my wife's family recipe Christmas citrus drink.

This pic is before the pie was baked

I had a slice of breakfast pizza many many years ago. It had scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, fresh grated hash brown, onion, maters, green peppers and was topped with some shredded cheese. If I remember correctly, it was a blind baked crust then they topped it with the ingredients and put it back it to warm and melt the cheese. I believe they also brought some salsa to top it with.
