Smoked Beef and Onion Soup
« Reply #-1 on: June 07, 2014, 01:36:53 PM »
I had a bag of vidalias with nothing planned for them, so the wife and I tag teamed on some beef and onion soup.  Onions, butter, garlic, flour, soy, Worcestershire, beef broth, salt and pepper.  She did everything up to the simmer and reduce step and then I moved it to the stick burner to simmer and take on some smoke.  That kiss of smoke put it over the top.  Some toasted asiago cheese chips on top made it into a play on French Onion soup.

That looks and sounds like an excellent riff on French onion soup! Don't have a stick burner, but I can get some nice smoke in a few devices... this is a keeper! Thanks for sharing it.
