Another reason a welder's brush is my favorite tool for cleaning my grill.  Cheap and the bristles are big enough there hard to miss if they fall out, and there's no way you could get one in your mouth without knowing it!

I have switched to cleaning with pads. They can be hard to find with handles at times tho. So my advice go to a janitorial supply store and buy a black stripping floor pad. About $6 bucks and you can cut to size for your needs. They will take the worst of the worst off any grill!  8)

Yes this could happen to anyone. Who knows how many we have already swallowed before that passed through safely.

I just use the magic tool from Memphis. It does not have any bristles. Works good.

This topic was just on the news here. A local boy had to have surgery because of it.
When this came up back on the CB site I bought a new plastic brush.
I use the steel brush once in a while still. But,  I normally turn the grill up high and put foil down on the grates. this seems to pretty much burn everything to ash efficiently. Once it cools just follow that with the plastic brush and its good enough.
