Have you eaten at any of these steakhouses? I have eaten at the Cattleman's Steakhouse four times, and counting. We'll probably eat there on our hunting trip to New Mexico in November.

Peter lugers in Brooklyn ny is the best steak I have ever had. That place isint hype. It's truly second to none

Sorry, Art, the link isn't working, for me anyway.
The closest thing to high end Steakhouse that I've ever eaten is probably The Boundary House (http://boundaryhouserestaurant.com/menu/dinner-menu/) in Calabash, NC. My daughters, their husbands, and I eat there every summer when we have the big family vacation.
On a side note, when I was down in St. Augustine over Thanksgiving, we went out to http://www.thereefstaugustine.com/ (http://www.thereefstaugustine.com/). They had a Cauliflower Steak, for $18.00, that I almost jumped on ! ! !

Pinnacle Petes in Colton California. Giant pit of mesquite burning red-hot and 1 inch thick juicy tender rib-eyes and a bowl of cowboy beans works for me. The cowboy thems is cool. The place is just a great big wide open barn. Cool place.

Link didn't work for me, however Guard and Grace in Denver tops the list for me. They have a stack of oak next to the grill to keep the wood fired grill fed. It has won best steakhouse Denver for at least the last 5 years.

Only high end steakhouse ive ever had is Cattleman's. But, I'm not sure what's more popular there, the steak or the homemade ranch dressing lol. Both are legendary here in Oklahoma. I ate at a good one in Arlington, but don't even remember the name of it.

I am with Art and you on Cattleman's. It is now part of my annual pilgrimage west. ;D

When I was on the road building radio stations, I discovered Saltgrass Steakhouse in the DFW area. One in particular got to know me and no matter the wait, they got me in before others. May have pissed the people waiting, but when you are on the road and find a good place you go back daily. Since my meals were expensed, I ate like a king.

Peter Luger’s is utterly amazing if you’re in NY; the ambiance, the bacon, the steaks, the bacon, the service, the bacon. Did I mention the bacon?
Houston has a plethora of top tier steak houses, but the one I go to when I want to impress out-of-towners is Killen’s Steakhouse down in Pearland. Food is off the charts, from the mains to the sides to the desserts. Killer wine list as well. His newest joint in Houston is Killen’s STQ where everything is cooked over wood fire. He has some dishes from his steakhouse and his BBQ joint on the menu.
Fogo de Chao is a fun date night as well; service is second to none and the have some unique South American cuts as well as some of the best lamp chops I’ve had. They’ve got about a dozen locations around the US.

I agree. Peter Luger's is the king of steak houses. Love the steak there.
Killen's in Pearland is always one of the top 10 steakhouses in the nation. I haven't eaten at his steak house or his STQ, but I can't live without his bbq brisket and beef ribs at his bbq joint.
I eat at Fogo de Chao on a regular basis in Houston because it is so good. Year before last, I had Fogo de Chao at least twice a day everyday for three solid weeks in Rio. Talk about being in a meat coma. I thought that I had died and gone to Heaven. I didn't want to come home. I know the Turtle likes the Fogo de Chao in New Orleans.
My favorite steakhouse in Houston is Taste of Texas. A wonderful, flavorful steak cooked perfectly every time, a fantastic salad bar similar to Fogo de Chao's, and free popcorn and sodas or tea while you're waiting to be seated (which could be quite a while because they are so popular).

Reminds me of Slim Pickens in blazing saddles

You're a better man than me if you can handle the awesomeness of Fogo twice a day ... :)
