Title: Air Fried Pineapple Habanero Jerk Chicken
Post by: HighOnSmoke on April 12, 2017, 07:53:16 PM
Legs and boneless skinless thighs were marinated for 30 minutes in Sweetwater Spice Pineapple Habanero Jerk Bath (http://www.atbbq.com/sweet-water-spice-pineapple-habanero-jerk-brine-concentrate.html). No other
seasoning was used. The potatoes were seasoned with Roasted Pepper Olive Oil and garlic powder. I am using my Cook’s
Essential 5.3 Air Fryer tonight. Chicken was cooked for 22 minutes at 370 flipping at the 11 minute mark. Once done it was lightly
covered to keep warm. The potatoes were cooked at 400 for 12 minutes, shaking the basket, at the 6 minute mark. Very nice flavor
on the chicken with a light heat kick. Potatoes were crispy, tender and had some nice heat from the olive oil.

That looks really good.  How does this compare to the pineapple habanero sauce at Costco?

No real comparison as this is basically a brine, while the one from Costco, which I have used, is more of a glaze or sauce. The heat from the Costco one has a more predominant taste than this one. Not a lot of heat in this brine.

Looks great.  How is the heat on that habanero chicken?
