I know there's a newer version out, but Thermoworks has the Smoke on sale for 79$. I bought a red one because red is more responsive. As it ended up, I also won a NIB Smoke unit on eBay the same day. I had forgotten about my using Auction Sniper on that and didn't think about it till I got the "pay me" email from eBay.
Oh well, I can use them on my 2 Masterbuilts

It's a solid unit. I got one when they first came out in a pre-sale. I also use their 'Dot', if I don't need the remote capability.

I've been using the Smoke for a couple of years now. Temps are accurate within a degree, radio range is very good. The wifi gateway feature (separate purchase) and app are not that great. Gives basic info, some limited graphing features, allows you to monitor two probes from anywhere you have internet access (I think it's only iOS supported), but seems like kind of an afterthought.
I've been eyeing the Fireboard product (more probes, very cool remote app, able to share real-time cooks with other people, etc), but the Smoke is so solid, it's hard to justify switching... Maybe Santa will drop one in my stocking this Christmas.

Love my Smoke. Very accurate and easy to use.

I have been using a Et-732 for many years, but got a Smoke for Christmas and have used it a few times, I really like how it has temp to 1/10 degree, been happy with it so far.

My smoke is one of those don't leave home without it items when heading out for a few days. Maybe other devices are better but for me the Smoke is the Bomb so to speak.
