Title: Test video with new full HD camera
Post by: Jaxon on January 09, 2014, 08:19:26 PM
Hey y'all,
Deb & I got a Nikon CoolPix L520 (google it) for Christmas.  I made video on Jan 4th (not during the hard freeze) using the new camera.
I like the HD format...pretty clear videos.

Here's a link if you wanna see it:  http://youtu.be/gyduk7Tx4GM

It goes without sayin' that it is not to the quality of what I normally produce; however, considering the caliber of the operator I find it satisfactorily done. Dee

My butts looks like yours, Tommy.  This was just a test video to compare picture quality to that of the Flip Video.  It served its purpose, but this new camera is really incredible.  It has a much higher learning curve than the offset smoker.

Video looks good - they typically look nice and crisp when the camera is mounted securely.

Jaxon, great video. I kinda thought that with your technical savvy and know-how that you would have skipped over HD and gone straight to 4K for even sharper images. You know that with a mug like yours, it has to be very sharp to capture all the rugged handsomeness (at least that's what Deb told me). And by the way, great cap.

I appreciate the comments, y'all...I will be using this camera primarily for food pics and not video...well, I'll probably do video with it sometimes.  The audio is tricky because it has no optional mic input.
Pretty soon I should be able to post a pic.

B T W, the cap is from NBC Sports and was given to me by a close friend who has worked with them for over 40 years...thanks Don.

Jaxon,  Correction:  He has been EMPLOYED with NBC for over 40 years.  There's a difference than the word you used.  Dee

Correction is duly noted, Dee.  Words DO mean something.

Truth is he WORKS for a lady named Barbara though he is not EMPLOYED by same.

You guys are just hilarious.

In retrospect, whether one works, is employed, or really just shows up to make it appear that he is working for going on 42 years, that person is greatful to have friends that are already retired and are enjoying life so one can live vicariously through them. Thanks guys.
