Swig & Swine - Charleston, SC
« Reply #-1 on: December 27, 2015, 09:33:21 AM »
My son lives in Charleston, SC and took me to Swig & Swine located at 1217 Savannah Highway on Christmas Eve.  It is another one of those traditional old-style barbecue joints.  Both of us had the brisket platters.  I travel to a lot of places across North America and eat a lot of good BBQ.  I only look forward to revisiting restaurants where I have exceptional food.  The Brisket at Swig & Swine is definitely on my list of food that I look forward to eating again.  In a town full of excellent restaurants if you find yourself in the mood for BBQ then you owe it to yourself to check out Swig & Swine.

PS.  The Swig in the name is due to the availability of several craft beers on tap.  It was lunchtime when we ate so we both stuck to ice tea!  I know this makes the place sound like a modern Q Joint but it is definitely an old-sytle shack.

Thanks for the tip.

Kind of a long ride for lunch, but next time I'm down that way.
