2016 Ohio Buckeye Gathering - time to start planning.
« Reply #-1 on: February 09, 2016, 07:52:33 PM »
Well it's time to start thinking about and planning for the 2nd annual Ohio Buckeye Gathering.

It was such a great time this past year, that everyone who attended this past year said they definitely wanted to do it again this year!  My friend Jason (Travishunting7777), gets weak in the knees when he thinks about eating Old Dave's Pig Shots!

I would LOVE to see a few others, including Scallywag & Cinredman make it this year.  The area is beautiful and everyone seemed to think the room price for the motel (Mohican River Inn) was good, especially for a resort type area.

The first Weekend in June seemed to work well for last year, so I was thinking we'd stick to the same time frame.  So that would tentatively be June 3rd, 4th & 5th.

A few had suggested maybe holding it a couple days longer.

So, who's interested, do those dates work?  Any other thoughts/suggestions?

Cliff

I'll add the dates to the calendar.  I have a hunch that Mrs. ACW3 may want to come this year.  I'll have to check with her schedule.

Sounds good for me and Maci..Will check with Donna on the date. We had such a good time last year, specially Maci, she is 3 now and getting easier to handle. She loved everyone, specially Tammy, heart - Art and Smokin Don. Thinking of coming in on Thursday  like last year. Makes it easier to do things. June 2  and leave the 5th. It's just a lil over 2 hour trip for us. Looking forward to it already.  .☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི♥ྀ.

Cliff..if you need help with anything, let me know. You really helped make it what it was last year. Hope to see everyone back again and more.  .☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི♥ྀ.

Travis the pig shots were absolutely fabulous, I would eat anything Old dave makes, cept tongue.  just sayin.  .☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི♥ྀ.

I can tell you that THIS is worth the trip, folks!

The facility is a peaceful and isolated feeling place to relax tho it is convenient in it's proximity to "civilization" - and it is adjacent to a beautiful state part, big river, and Amish Country. The food will be incredible - both at the Gathering and where Cliff took us last year for a real Amish breakfast.....I still have drooling dreams about. ;D

BBQ is neither verb or noun. It is an experience.

Tee had at least THREE plates of food at the Amish restaurant.  He claimed he wanted to "try everything".  I believe he did.  Some twice!
