I just got back from Lockhart and Austin Wednesday. I had friends visiting from Germany and they needed to experience real Texas BBQ. Pretty disappointed that they were all ready sold out of prime rib at 1 PM, but everything else was excellent. Here's some blurry pics of Smitty's (it's either a bad camera, dark room, or really good beer). Then we headed into Austin at a very fast clip to get one of the best chicken fried steaks in the best honky tonk in Texas. It was a great day.

Don....It is comforting to see that some things have not changed. Good to see Smitty's again - I hope to actually get there in the near future. No pics of Kreuz's ;D?
