My tomatoes slowed up a few week ago with cooler weather. After a couple of 80+deg. days I had a bunch and not wanting to waste them I decided to try to dry some. Reading Ahrons, africanmeats, method and searching the net I tried some in the oven and some in my smoker.
I did them both at 200 deg. for six hours. The one sin the oven dried pretty well but the ones in the smoker, being thicker did not dry. I will use them to make some smoky chili.
