We spent the weekend with my Sister and her family at their lake house. I spent a chunk of the day Sunday helping the B-I-L get his outdoor kitchen ready for summer. I cleaned up the smoker and helped him install new infrared burners in the gasser, split a load of apple wood and stack it under the pizza oven. He had made dough from scratch the night before so we could have some pizzas on Sunday evening. He makes a heck of a pizza dough.
We are so fortunate that they share their lake house with us several times a year and we always love the wood fired pizza. We all build and cook our own pizzas which adds to the fun and everyone shares a slice so we can try other's creations. It is always a load of fun. (I tried to upload some video of the oven pre-heat fire but I could not get that to work - it blocked out everything else and wouldn't run
- will have to read up in the posting forum on that)
Getting the oven up to temp - shooting for around 750 degrees
My pizza is out!
A belgian style Imperial Pale (new to me - was very good)
