Title: work tables for grilling
Post by: aliengriller on January 16, 2016, 06:32:09 PM
Anyone have any good ideas for a work table for the patio/grilling/smoking area?    Space is a bit limited under patio cover, but always wanting a big more work space when cooking most anything outside.    Would like to have SOME storage space included.    Would appreciate some ideas and help.   AND, not too much money, IF at all possible.   Thanks

Hey..I just use the  formed plastic tables that I use for beside the grill. Works for me and I always use a wooden cutting board for hot stuffs. I store stuff underneath, they come in all sizes and weather doesn't hurt them, but I do put them away after I use them.  They come in all sizes, fold in half also.  .☆´¯`•.¸¸. ི♥ྀ.

I should add I have a CB940X, an SRG and my new toy, a Masterbuilt 30" smoker.  NORMALLY only use one at a time, BUT, with the smoker, I may be grilling towards the end for sides, browning, crisping, etc.

I built a 2' x 4' table and used 12'' x 12'' marble tile squares  for the top.  It's mainly out of 2'' x 4'' and 1'' x 6''. I built a shelf underneath so I can put plastic bins on it for storage.  I also put wheels on it so it will roll. Don't put really small wheels on it.

Ideally, I'd like to have a stainless steel table sort of like you see in restaurant kitchens.

AG, check out the Camp Chef Dutch oven tables. There are two sizes, small has been on my wish list! They are all metal and sturdy.

Lifetime 80160 Commercial Height Adjustable Folding Utility Table, 4 Feet, White Granite

This table adjusts from a sitting height to a stand up work table height.
Mine is left outside uncovered & holding up well.

Don't Laugh but my sears grill comes with a pull up side table besides the two on the side. I have a sink outside that can hold things if I put the cover on it
