The above are suggestions but please add your input, and we acan add them to the poll as needed.

Any other categories that merit their own sections?
-
Both are good. Need to look at what we have and then make comments

On one of my first forums I was on they had a on-going chart that showed how many forum members were in each state. Once a month they would send out a listing of the states in order by the number of members.
It was fun and made for some home town rooting when new members from your respective state joined the forum.
It also never caused any problems and it was all good fun and it was interesting to see what states had the most cool blue smoke rising up to please the BBQ Gods.
What y'all think??

Curing/Charcuterie (as in home curing various bacon, tasso, hams, etc.)

All great sggestions!
I may need some admin help to set up the map/chart thing for where we each live - but, i will get to work on asking if we can implement all of these suggested sections.
Thanks for the participation!

Is there a way we can find out when someone is in the chat room other than going to chat??
Maybe down at the bottom of the main page where it shows who is logged into the forum maybe there could be something there that shows who is in chat...........

I believe the Bradley Smoker Forum shows who's in the chat room at the bottom and it's running the same SMF software version as this forum. :)

We have been working on that since this form of chat was installed. But the chat system is not part of the SMS software. It is from Ajax. And as we are running Ajax in its most current form ( which is a little different than the version on the Bradley forum) there are so.e things that we have had tofix or tweak thus far.
But the "occupied" sign is on the hit list for sure.

I logged into chat and had the new window open...nice!! I noticed back on my lets talk window that the message still said no user is in chat.
Is that only because I am over in chat and the other members on-line forum page says that someone is in chat??
-
My bad, I just checked the forum screen and it says 1 user in chat...that's me!!
