Operation BBQ Relief has been deployed to Louisiana to provide hot meals to those effected by the flooding.
Consider making a donation to OBR.

Really sad situation out there...

I tried to go help last week but you have to register to help out. Then on Saturday they send me a request to go. I couldn't go over the weekend and it's not looking good for me this week. Got some cooking to do fro a couples shower this weekend. Maybe next week.
On top of this I have a sister in hospice with a serious heart problem they can do nothing about. So, it's just a matter of time for her.
I am however working on something to go to Denham Springs LA(where like 90% of that city was flooded)and cook for the only Knights of Columbus council there. Trying to get some meats donated right now.

God Bless you all who are helping in this time of need.

I will be headed to the affected area within a few days along with one of our technicians who is from Metairie LA. We will be taking a truck and trailer load of supplies for disaster relief.
Looking forward to the trip - but not the agony of seeing folks in a world of hurt.

I just saw this since I have been off the forum dealing with all manners of stuff.
Thanks to all who went out and helped. I am from Baton Rouge, and know people who were caught out in the flash floods, lost homes or had them damaged from flood waters.
My nephew bought a motor for his boat and rescued people and animals stranded in their homes. It was a great community effort to help out neighbors.
