Today my oldest son got the call from the police dept that he has been waiting for. He has worked his but off for a while now to get on and it paid off.
Kimmie ain't happy but mom's don't like their kids being around bad things.
Me im on cloud nine! Very proud of him

Congrats Tommy. My Pops was a LA County Sheriff and now he is a Federal Marshall. Tell Kimmie, he will be just fine.

Happens sooner than you expect. Worked 30 retired 15 years ago.

I spent 36 years behind the badge. I wouldn't trade those years for anything. Although you can make a decent living in LE, you never get in that profession to make a LOT of money. I agree with Northshore, he needs to do some financial planning NOW not later. I see too many retired LE scraping by because they lived beyond their means while at work.
