Been grilling for years, but fairly new to infrared cooking. Started with a used Big Easy oil-less fryer, recently upgraded to a Big Easy SRG. This past Thanksgiving I changed how I cooked my turkey for the past 30 years, let me tell you that was not easy. Turkey was great, and even made my change from stuffing to dressing while still using the turkey juices from the drip pan after boiling them. Was going to pass on my older Big Easy to my youngest son, but decided to buy him a new SRG too. Looking forward to being a member on this site. Looking into making the trip up to the Fall Gathering. I know we all have different styles so it will be interesting to see how others make use of the grill.

Great to have you Shawn! Many of us own an SGR or TBE and love them. Of course - most of us also have other cookers for different reasons. We like all forms of cooking - without prejudice.
Welcome!

Welcome from Dothan Al......I know you are going to love that SRG. I had a spring cleaning and sold about 6 grills and smokers. I was going to start over, but I made a big mistake and bought a SRG. It does "everything" and I just can't move on . If you have any questions just ask ...someone will be glad to help. Tommy is the Big Easy expert.

I have already enjoyed cooking with the SRG, my only disappointment with it were the dented and scratched parts right out of the new box. After spending 2 months of back and forth with Char-Broil replacement parts are on the way. Although none of them keep it from being a great way to cook, when you buy something new you really don't want it to look like it came from a scratch and dent sale. No one local sells the SRG so bought it online, box came in looking fine, the damaged parts left the factory that way. So 3 new legs, the lid, the outer body, and the cooking chamber, and the heat shield have new replacement parts on the way. I do also have a wonderful cast iron grill/griddle that doesn't get used much now the nest is empty. I also like the SRG because it can travel with my Airstreams when I take them out.
